Quickpwn 1.50 Out

Quickpwn v1.50 is out. Download it here. The updates adds a youtube fix and bootneuter option to unlock the 2g. I will test this late tomorrow when I get home from vacation. Refer to the quickpwn guide for assistance using the tool.

this shit dont even work!!!!! i tried to open like the last two versions that worked fine before this one and i gets hung up as soon as you put the firmware file in it!! rite when it tells you to browse for the firmware you put it in and it acts like its loading with a little spiral thing and does nothing after. and incase your wondering yes i waited too see if anything happens and the task manager said my computer was at 98%idle and yes i even tried downloading after using a registry cleaner 3 times !! so far not cool. very frustrating! please fix !

hi guys!
ii successfully did it, if you follow my simple steps any one can jailbreak it to 2.0.2 unlocked and with the youtube fix.

step1: download firmware file of your appropriate phone like iphone 3G, 2G or Touch from http://iphonefreakz.com/iphone-firmwares/

Step 2: update via itunes holding shift key + restore button and select the firmware downloaded in step 1

step 3: after upgrading to 2.0.2, the phone will be locked with the usb wire logo, but dont worry i’ll help you jailbreak it.

step 4: download the quickpwn 1.5.1 not 1.5.0, this is a newer version also called quickpwn RC3 from http://xs1.iphwn.org/releases/QuickPwnRC3.zip
and extract it to the desktop, after extracting you would find 2 files one with .exe and another read me and now further extract the .exe file and now you get some 6 files including quickpwn.exe, and this is the folder you have to copy+paste files of step 5 and step 6

step 5: download bootloader 3.9 and 4.6 from the website displayed at step 1

step 6: download firmware 2.0.1 for your appropriate phone or touch.

step 7: now double click on quickpwn.exe from the 2nd time extracted folder where those 6 files(approx.) were found. and then select your appropriate phone, then the firmware 2.0.1 (please select 2.0.1 not the 2.0.2). then the bootloaders and then just follow the instructions and let it restart and you are done. a phone again unlocked with 7 steps verified on 2G phone.

This is in fact one of the best iPhone related sites I’ve had the pleasure to be a part of. CONGRATULATIONS for the excelent job.
I’ll be waiting for the results of your test, to decide what to do with my 8Gb iPhone(2g).
I’ve updated from 1.1.4 to 2.0.1. using quickpwn, it worked fine but now I’m experiencing WiFi connection problems and I’m getting a bit frustrated.
When I unlocked my 2.0.1.fw wifi worked and i was able to download and update via cydia several apps and sources, but now the damn thing just seems to refuse to work and I’ve tried everything and am out of options…
If you can lend a hand giving me some usefull advice I’d really appreciate it…

i had the same problem. alot of pople on the apple forum experianced the same thing after upgrading from 1.1.x to 2.0 or newer. Ive spent over 8 hours trying to fix the problem, I got so frustrated to the point that i smashed my iphone. what i know is that this isnt a jailbreaking problem. even people that didnt jail break their first gen iphone had the same problem. Good luck on your iphone and i hope you can do a better job then i can lol

I tried 3 times on my 2G, but after selecting the 2.0.2 ipsw, the program just hang there forever with the NEXT button being greyed out! No future progress!

So, I tried the Quickpwn 120, and it works flawlessly!

I wonder what had gone wrong with Quickpwn 150 in my case?

About the Installer beta…I’m not sure about you! I suspect that the Installer beta is the main cause of lags and sluggishness after upgrading to 2.0.2!

Need some confirmation on that, to be fair, I could be wrong!

Installer beta has a lot of problems and almost no programs in it, but it is not the cause of sluggishness. That problem is apples.

There’s a whole thread of this in the comments on the Dev Team page… they’ve released a new update that apparently fixes this problem.

when you extract the fille it will leave you with..

quickpwn.exe and readme.txt

right click the quickpwn.exe and find ‘extract files’ click that and it will leave you with a folder called ‘quickpwn.exe’ in that folder will be a few files including the quickpwn file.. out the firmware in there and then launch quickpwn again from that folder (the one you just put the firmware in) and it should work

hey everyone just put all that your going to use in the same folder as quickpwn. and if this doesnt work then right click quickpwn.exe and then press extract here. then go into hat one and use the one inside. hope it works for you guys!!! and yeah i think its like 9kb - 25kb per seconds because the servers. to many downloads at the same time!!!lol took me half and hour when i have 800kbp/s downloads.

can some body help me please!!…what would happen if i buy an iphone 3g and activated and then i take the sim card out and put the sim card on another phone so i can use the iphone 3g with another network like tmobile..would i get on trouble with at&t please help!!!

How can you think of it. I hope you know that there is no software unlock yet for iPhone 3G.

For sure it will be a good looking paper weight which can do all except the phone function as you can jailbreak it and use as iPod video and play around with wifi.

is there gonna be a release soon, someday, in two months, 3 months, 1 year, whenever it could be, on how to ACTIVATED 3G iphones. because i have heard that IT WONT BE POSSIBLE TO DO IT. is that true ? is there any real possibility for that ACTIVATION solution ? i know i cant ask you for a frame time, but i just want to know IS THAT GONNA BE POSSIBLE TO ACTIVATED without using a TURBOSIM ?

i nearly effed my phone bigtime with the instructions given here. Here is the right way to do it.

1. you have to update to 2.0.2 via itunes.
2. at this time your phone will revert to factory settings.
3. now follow the process above with quickpwn and the downloaded ipsw.
4. after all the stuff is done launch itunes and sync. at that time it might say something like this phone has been previously synced. use that option. give it some time and all should be ok.
5. update cydia/installer and reinstall previous apps.
6. If you get a voicemail password error. Call 611. hit 3 and 3 again to reset password.
7. if mail crashes - install bossprefs from cydia. click on more and click fix user dir permissions. add mail account and that should be all set.
