BiteSMS updated today to v2.0. Here is the large list of changes:
The first fully functional biteSMS for firmware 2.0!
- Ability to make biteSMS the default SMS application (configured via biteSMS settings page, defaults to OFF).This controls the following characteristics:
- If ON, when clicking to Reply to an incoming SMS alert, you’ll be taken into biteSMS instead of the Apple SMS application.
- If ON, the badge that denotes how many SMS’s are unread will be shown against the biteSMS icon instead of the Apple SMS icon.
- ON or OFF, incoming SMS messages containing biteSMS credits are handled in a more user friendly fashion.
- Fixed the issue, whereby if an error was displayed during the sending of an SMS, then it would exit back to the Home screen.
- Improved matching of incoming SMS numbers against Contacts.
- For an unread SMS, upon starting biteSMS you will be taken directly to this SMS conversation (just like the Apple SMS app).

it works in canada. too bad no canadian in their right mind would use this. 0.10$ for every text message? even rogers ridiculous prices are cheaper than that.

can i ask u sth very different bigboss?
do u know the software iphone pc suite ?well while i was on 1.1.4 i did a backup of my iphone(songs,vids,pics,etc..)now that i am on 2.0.1 when i restored the backup everything was there incl.pics but no songs/vids would show up on the music and videos apps!although in itunes i can see this space(music/vids) called as “other”.
can you make a fix for that?plz i don’t have time to re-organise my 4gig music!!!plz!??

I installed this now (didnt have it before), the smss that where there before the installation are matched correctly, but a new one i just got isnt. i dont know if this will happen with other sms or just with this person tho (in the apple sms client it is correctly matched)
pd: any categories news ? :p

I also have big problems since I installed this app. The Iphone, stoped, it only show the black with the apple logo (like when inizializating). I must restore everething, but I could not go in DFU mode, so I restorer with the itunes complete.
Now I can not go any more to DFU (so no jailbreak!).
even the restore was compleate: everything was lost, like coming new (the itunes reloaded the apps I have purchased), but I lost notes, configurations, favorites…
Someone has the same problem?

can I make a sugestion about a possible feature?
I am looking for a SMS protected by password since a long time ago. What happens is that lots of people wants to have a look at my iPhone and I dont want them messing around with the SMS.
Any chance?

just use lockdown app fron Cydia.
It will allow you to passwordprotect any app you like.
