I have added to our repository Maps Offline, a new app by Nam Chu Hoai that allows you to store your google maps cache and recall it later saving routes and all. It actually does quite a bit more and there are lots of details as well as “how to use” instructions on Nam’s website.

For people on 2.0 who dont want the maps cache taking up double the space everytime they restore there is this method
